Description:
The client came to me with his own, beautiful slab of koa and a vision of a grand and unique dining table. I re-sawed the giant slab and chose the layup. I kept the white streak of sap wood to be a contrast to the depth and warmth of the koa. The owner had a general shape in mind and wanted the trestle base. I refined the dimensions to reflect the curves in other pieces in their dining room.
